Our representative welcomes you on arrival at Ivato Airport for the transfer to your hotel. Antananarivo, « City of the Thousand », is Madagascar's capital, known for its Asian feel, numerous staircases, steep hills, palaces, cobblestone streets and rice field landscapes.
After breakfast, we drive to Antsirabe along National Road N°7, crossing the typical highlands landscape: rocky hills, savanna, terraced rice fields. First stop at Ambatolampy to visit the aluminium foundry workshop. Lunch at your expense. Continuation to Antsirabe.
After breakfast, a tour of the city by pousse-pousse before taking National Road 34 through the Menabe savannas. Miandrivazo is the departure point for all excursions on the Tsiribihina river. Arrival in the evening.
After breakfast, we begin the Tsiribihina descent, one of the longest rivers on Madagascar's west coast. A 4x4 transfers us to the embarkation point at Masiakampy. Meeting warm and welcoming villagers throughout the journey. Overnight in camping.
During the descent, discovery of varied landscapes: Anosiampela waterfall, cliffs, endemic fauna and flora. Immersion in local daily life, sights along the river — lemurs on the banks, joyful children, the magic of nature. Overnight in camping.
After breakfast, disembarkation at Belo sur Tsiribihina where the car awaits. We head south to Tsangajoly. Check-in at the lodge.
After breakfast, a full day to explore the private reserve and salt flats. Possible flamingo sightings depending on the season. Optional canoe excursion or night walk to spot mouse lemurs.
After breakfast, departure for Bekopaka crossing two ferries over rivers that cut across the western track. Arid western landscape, heat and dust. Arrival at Bekopaka.
First day exploring Bemaraha Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discovery of the famous Grand Tsingy — blade-like rocks forming one of Madagascar's most spectacular landscapes. Canyons, labyrinths and the Tsingy Roof with a 360° panorama.
Second day in the park. Pirogue ride on the Manambolo river and visit to caves. Discovery of the small Tsingy of 10 to 20m surrounded by endemic fauna and flora.
After breakfast we drive to Kirindy, crossing two rivers by ferry. Arrival in the late afternoon. Kirindy forest is the only place in the world where the FOSA (Cryptoprocta ferox), Madagascar's largest carnivore, can be observed in its natural habitat. Night visit to the reserve.
After breakfast, visit the reserve then return to Morondava in the late afternoon. Stop at the Avenue of the Baobabs for a magnificent sunset. The smooth trunks reflect the orange rays — the perfect moment for photos. Continuation to Morondava.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Flight to Antananarivo. Depending on the flight schedule, a city tour of Antananarivo. This return marks the end of your Madagascar journey.
