Day 2 : Antananarivo > Ambositra

After breakfast, we'll head towards Antsirabe via National Road 7. We'll pass through the town of Ambatolampy, known as the capital of aluminum foundries; we'll visit it on our way back. Continuing on to Antsirabe, we'll traverse the Highlands region, which offers a mosaic of colors with its terraced rice fields, crops, and traditional red brick houses in its numerous villages. Here, the warm and communicative population is undoubtedly another wonderful encounter on our journey. We'll stay on National Road 7 and proceed southward. Finally, we'll arrive in Ambositra and check-in at the hotel.

Day 2 : Antananarivo > Ambositra

The hotel was created by a sculptor named Victor to showcase Malagasy craftsmanship, particularly in wood carving. The place is calm and beautiful. To accommodate its guests, the hotel offers 8 rooms and 10 bungalows. The restaurant serves traditional Malagasy cuisine. Additionally, guests can enjoy outdoor dining in the afternoon accompanied by traditional Malagasy music groups. Day 4 : Ambalavao > Antantsoa

We leave Ambalavao to reach the Namoly Valley. From there, we take the off-road track for 3 hours in a 4x4. As soon as we arrive at the campsite called ANTANANTSOA, where we will spend the night, tea awaits you. The camp is located at an altitude of 1470m. Terraced rice fields decorate the landscape.

Day 6 : Andriampotsy > Pic Boby > Iataranomby

Early wake-up with the first rays of sunlight and departure to tackle the ascent of Pic Boby after breakfast. Pic Boby is the second highest peak in Madagascar. We will reach the summit from where we can admire the exceptional panorama of the entire region. On very clear days, we might even catch a glimpse of the Isalo Massif further south. Being at the top is a surreal experience. We traverse a landscape often described as lunar, with surreal lunar landscapes in a very mountainous setting. As we descend, after this superb scenery, we cross the endemic palm forest of this slope, "ravenea glauca," until we reach the camping site of Iantaranomby by a river where we can cool off.

Day 8 : Tsaranoro > Antsirabe

Early morning breakfast, then departure to meet the vehicle for the return journey to Antsirabe, passing through Fianarantsoa and Ambositra. Arrival in Antsirabe, whose name means "plenty of salt". It's an elegant city, a spa town surrounded by a volcanic massif, the third-largest city in Madagascar with its clean air and cool climate throughout the year. Check-in at the hotel.

After breakfast, we'll visit the workshops of the Zafimaniry artisans, hoping to find intricately carved wood or carefully crafted marquetry boxes. Following a visit to several artisanal markets, we'll continue to Fianarantsoa, which literally translates from Malagasy as "place of good learning." The city is divided by a steep ascent: the lower town and the upper town. We'll then journey onward to Ambalavao, where we'll visit the workshop famous for producing Antemoro paper. Next, we'll explore the private reserve of Anja, managed by the local village community. Overnight stay in Ambalavao.

Day 5 : Antantsoa > Andriampotsy

The day will be more challenging, with an ascent to reach our next campsite. After receiving instructions from the local Andringitra guide and the porters, we will start the hike along the trail leading into the heart of Andringitra. Along the way, we'll make stops to visit some caves, admire the sacred waterfalls and the forest. We'll climb through shrubs or low-altitude forest, and perhaps even have the opportunity to swim in a natural pool. Then, we'll continue our hike to reach our campsite at Andriampotsy.

Day 7 : Iataranomby > Tsaranoro

After breakfast, we depart for the descent towards the Tsaranoro Valley. We may have the opportunity to observe the Pachypodium Echyflorum, various species of aloes, and lizards. Once at the foot of the massif, the path continues to cross several Barabory villages; Betsileo and Bara cultures blend together. From the village of Morarano, we begin to traverse this magnificent Tsaranoro Valley to reach Camp Catta. This afternoon, we continue to explore the forest of the Tsaranoro Valley for a few hours.

Located at the foot of the Tsaranoro cliff, Camp Catta offers two types of bungalows and tents. The bungalows are spacious and all equipped with full bathrooms with hot water. As for dining, Camp Catta highlights local products for a convivial table with a continental breakfast at sunrise and salads or grills at noon; the bar serves cocktails and arranged rum. For activities, hiking, climbing, paragliding, and base jumping can be organized.

Day 9 : Antsirabe > Antananarivo

Breakfast. Visit of the city by rickshaw, then visit local craft workshops and products such as zebu horn jewelry, toys made from old tin cans. Return to Antananarivo with a stop in Ambatolampy, a village of metallurgists. Cast aluminum souvenirs are often for sale along the main road. After the visit, continue to Tana. Transfer to the hotel.
